The Aviation is a classic gin cocktail dating back to the turn of the 20th century, first appearing at New York City's Hotel Wallet. Known for its sky-blue hue and floral notes, this cocktail has become a modern staple in the world of mixology.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Still Austin gin
  • 1/2 oz Luxardo Maraschino liqueur
  • 1/4 oz creme de violette
  • 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
  • Ice Cubes
  • 1 Luxardo cherry
  • 2 sprigs DEHY Lavender - Hand Cut

Instructions

  1. Start with a shaker tin.
  2. Add 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice.
  3. Add 1/2 oz Luxardo Maraschino liqueur.
  4. Add a bar spoon of creme de violette.
  5. Add 2 oz Still Austin gin.
  6. Add ice and shake well.
  7. Fine strain into a chilled coupe glass.
  8. Drop one Luxardo cherry into the glass.
  9. Clip two sprigs of DEHY Lavender - Hand Cut for garnish.
