Hurricane

Hurricane

This New Orleans classic cocktail is popularly believed to have been created at Pat O'Brien's bar in the French Quarter in the 1940s. They needed a way to use up the large quantities of rum they were forced to buy as an incentive to access more popular liquors like whiskey, bourbon, or scotch. Thus, The Hurricane was born. This sweet and boozy drink originally called for the lost tiki ingredient passionola. Instead, we use Lieber & Co.'s Passion Fruit Syrup.
