Ramos Gin Fizz

Ramos Gin Fizz

The Ramos Gin Fizz, also known as the New Orleans Fizz, was created in 1888 by Henry C. Ramos at his bar, the Imperial Cabinet Saloon in New Orleans. This cocktail is renowned for its frothy texture and complex flavor profile, which combines the botanicals of gin with the creaminess of egg white and heavy cream, the tartness of lemon and lime, and the subtle sweetness of orange flower water. The drink became so popular that Ramos had to employ a team of 'shaker boys' to keep up with demand, as the cocktail requires vigorous shaking to achieve its signature frothiness.
