Margarita

The history of the margarita is shrouded in mystery and folklore due to its numerous origin stories. The first known publication of a margarita recipe was in the December 1953 issue of Esquire with a recipe calling for an ounce of Sierra tequila, a dash of triple sec, and the juice of half a lime or lemon.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Tromboblanco tequila
  • 1 oz Cointreau
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz agave syrup
  • Ice
  • Salt
  • DEHY Lime - Fine Cut

Instructions

  1. Start with a shaker tin and combine Tromboblanco tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, and agave syrup.
  2. Add ice to the shaker tin.
  3. Shake well until the mixture is chilled.
  4. Salt the rim of a rocks glass.
  5. Strain the drink over a large fat ice cube in the salted rocks glass.
  6. Garnish with a DEHY Lime - Fine Cut.
