Hot Toddy

Hot Toddy

The Hot Toddy's origin goes all the way back to the mid-18th century. From acclaimed cocktail menus to fireside chats, it has always had one serious job: to warm you up. The drink is traditionally comprised of a spirit, sugar, and hot water, sometimes with a lemon peel, tea, or assorted spices. In Ireland, they use Irish whiskey. In Scotland, they use scotch. In the United States, well, they used whatever was on hand. Since we're in Texas, we are using Texas bourbon.
